I install, everything seems to work just fine, and then when I go to main page right after installation, I get this error at the top of the page:
WARNING [8] Undefined offset: -1
FOUND IN [class/class.opnsession.php]
FOUND AT 87
It has rendered the site useless, as I can not log in as admin to do anything to the site.
Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas?
This is a fedora 3 install, MySql 4.0.23, PHP 4.3.10.
Thanks

Hi,
how do you call the main page? What is the URL which you enter in your browser to point to opn?

I think he called OPN via the IP address.
But OPN requieres a FQDN.

Actually, since its on a local network at the moment, and I am testing it out, i accessed it via http://localhost/opn2. Thats the main page for the site. I have not put it up on a "real" system yet, as I want to test it out locally first.
If it needs a FQDN, then I will re-install it with the FQDN, but I dont think thats the issue, as I have gotten it to work before without one.

Hello Hombergs:
What do you mean that OPN requires a FQDN.
my administration->setting->site URL is http://130.184.161.218/opn2
And I can access it from Linux boxes runing firefox, but not other platforms I have, i.e. MacOS.
Please advise.
Thanks,

FQDN = Full Qualified Domain Name like www.myopnlocal.home or something like this.
OPN will run fine for IP 127.0.0.1 and for http:/localhost bit not with any other IP.
Cause some browsers want a domain name for the cookies.
You can change the /etc/hosts file on you linux systems to match IP and domainname. Under Windows XP you should find the hosts file under C:/windows/system/drivers/etc or C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/. Sorry but I worked a long time not under Windows.
Under Mac OS X it should the same place as under Linux.
Or you can use bind on one your server for a local DNS server.

Hello Hombergs:
Thanks for the information. But, you previous post didn't explain why http://130.184.161.218/opn2 works on my linux boxes. I don't have a FQDN for my server. Does it mean that I can not run OPN on it? How do you explain why firefox on my linux box can access it fine?
I compared the cookies in browers that can access OPN and that of those can't access:
can access:
130.184.161.218 PHPSESSION
161.218 opnsession
161.218 anno
can't access:
130.184.161.218 PHPSESSION
Hope it helps diagonose the problem.
Thanks,
Baochuan

Hello:
I got a FQDN from dyndns.com for my server ip address which fixed the above mentioned problem.
Thanks,
Baochuan
