is there a way to change phpnuke theme to openphpnuke theme? becuase phpnuke is a lot easier to understand

i'm trying to edited the openphpnuke theme can anyone tell me where can i edited the story and right/left right the only thing i see in theme.php is the footer and header i don't see the story/right block/ left block?
