Posts: Changing Servers with OPN sites I have.
What is the easiest way to move to a new server and setup?
Will all the cache directorys still be intact etc.? Or do I just move the files and the database and I'm done?

Thanks for your help.

Posts: Thanks Hombergs! However only part of my problem is fixed... Heres the set-up so far...

I have moved my OPN site from an Out-Sourced server I am renting, to my local server I have just purchased.

This site has been in production for about 6 months, and has a lot of data (especially "tracking" data so I deleted the dump data for tracking) in the database.

I got everything moved over ok, and followed the instructions in the link you suggested.
That worked as far as getting my topics pictures etc. working... but they still point to my old webspace....

i.e. when I login or click a link on new site, it takes me to the original server set-up instead of loading the page on my (new) local server.

I will PM you the address to the new site space so you can see what I mean.

I need to have this site mirror the original site, so I can move everything seamlessly... as I said, this is a live site, and I can not take it down, so I need to have everything that was there before, still available when the new site takes its place.

I hope I have made sense...

Thanks in advance!

Posts: have you checked the values in admin->settings for the right image urls?

Posts: When I log in, (or click any other link) it takes me to the original (live) site, so I can not even get to the admin section (of the copy) to change settings. As I said, this is a live site, so I can not change over until I know the site is stable and working properly.

The links always include my old URL instead of pointing to it's new home.
Did you try it in the link I sent to your PM?
I will send it again so you can see first hand what problem I am having.

Thanks!

Posts: I realize that the URL is in the DB, but where? Could someone give me a hint? Is there a tool to search and replace in MySQL db's?

Thanks in advance.
