The preversion of Build 100 version 0.22.38 has just been released. It contains an update of Build 99 to Build 100, too.

Since the Update has not yet been sufficiently tested, it is to be regarded as a PreVersion. As soon as we have the first successful tests, we will get the (adjusted) Build 100.

So, please test first!!!!!!

In this beta download there will be a new module called backend. This module will replace all backend scripts in the root directory. So that not only articles can be presented as RSS/RDF feed, but also bookcorner, yellow pages , howtos, weblogs, downloads, gallery, weblinks, message board, reviews, and sections.


Of course, webmasters can determine from withing the modules configuration which newsfeeds are to be presented by the module.

Then, the module can display the feed in these formats:

- RDS/RDF 0.91
- RDS/RDF 1.0
- RDS/RDF 2.0 Draft
- HTML


You can call to the actual backend from four different links:

1. OPN_URL/system/backend/backend.php?version=100&limit=10&module=system/article

parameter version contains RSS/RDF version (optional)

parameter limit contains the number of returned data (optional)

parmater module contains the modul from which the feed shall originate (compulsory)



2. OPN_URL/system/backend/backend.php?limit=10&module=system/article

3. OPN_URL/system/backend/backend.php?version=100&module=system/article

4. OPN_URL/system/backend/backend.php?module=system/article



As you will have noticed, parameter version and limit can be omitted. If one of those is not found, the standard setting will automatically be activated.

When defining a new box, you have to enter start (time and date) and end (time and date) the box will be showed. Entering the year 9999 in both cases only the time will be recognized by the system. Then its possible to switch a box on and off at a specific time. This feature is applicable in all 3 types of boxes available in OPN.

The module newsletter is now controlled via the module usergroups. Anonymous users may subscribe/unsubscribe and get an email containing registration key, registration link, and detailed instructions as to what to do with those information. After 3 days the registration key will be deleted.
Maybe this system will also be implemented in module User and Sending ECards.

In Build 100 it's now possible to create groups of partner sites in the module partners. These groups can be displayed in center- and sideboxes. It's also possible to create different partnerboxes.
